چکیده

Background: Chest computed tomography (CT) is a recommended screening and assessment tool for patients with suspected coronavirus disease (COVID-19). However, CT units are currently not available in many temporary hospitals centralized isolation places. Objectives: To delineate the workflow of mobile unit evaluate its role COVID-19 infection locations. Patients Methods: Two hundred twenty-three under medical observation were enrolled this study. All underwent reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing chest examinations. Communication, storage, browsing data performed 4G cloud technology. Image quality radiation dose evaluated compared commercial conventional 64-row scanner. Additionally, sensitivity initial RT-PCR compared. Results: examination 223 was completed within 19 work hours. via technology seamless. There no significant differences subjective image scores between groups (P > 0.05). pneumonia eventually confirmed 49 (21.97%). The greater than that (85.71% 67.35%, respectively) < Conclusion: Screening by points simple, efficient, highly sensitive technique early diagnosis control COVID-19.

A reconstruction method for helical computed tomography

This paper presents a method for volumetric reconstruction from Helical Computerized Tomography (H-CT) data which are collected with a fan beam source. An interpretation of the HCT data in terms of the Axial Computerized Tomography (ACT) data is provided. This analysis indicates that the H-CT data for positive and negative detector angles can be combined to form periodically nonuniform hexagona...

The relationship between laboratory and chest computed tomography scan findings and severity of COVID-19 cases: a single center study

Background: Para-clinical abnormalities are considered as predictors of COVID-19 severity. We aimed at evaluate the relationship between laboratory and chest computed tomography (CT) scan findings and severity of COVID-19 cases. Materials and methods: We performed a retrospective study on confirmed COVID-19 patients in Amir-Al-Momenin hospital, Tehran, Iran, from February 20, 2020 to April 19,...

Comparison of simulated cone beam computed tomography to conventional helical computed tomography for imaging of rhinosinusitis.

OBJECTIVES/HYPOTHESIS Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) has emerged as a low radiation dose alternative to traditional computed tomography (CT) to evaluate the paranasal sinuses. The purpose of our study was to determine how often clinically important findings would be missed if CBCT was used routinely for sinus imaging. STUDY DESIGN Retrospective review. METHODS We evaluated all maxillo...

Mobile computed tomography : early experience in Korea.

OBJECTIVE With improved technology, the values of intraoperative computed tomography (iCT) have been reevaluated. We describe our early clinical experience with a mobile CT (mCT) system for iCT and discuss its clinical applications, advantages and limitations. METHODS Compared with intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging, this mCT system has no need for major reconstruction of a preexisting...
